KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar has written a letter to the chief election commissioner, Justice (retd) Fakhruddin G Ebrahim, to complain about the alleged plan of the defunct Peoples Amn Committee to occupy 48 polling stations in NA-248 Lyari and NA-249 Ranchorline, Garden.

Sattar is contesting from NA-249. He said that there are confirmed reports that suggested that Lyari gangsters have acquired several national identity cards from the residents and plan to vote for the candidate backed by them.

This, he said, has created resentment among the people.
