Chennai Super Kings maintained their supremacy at the Indian Premier League (IPL), registering a 14-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk.
The win was Chennai’s seventh in nine matches this season and ensured the team remained at the top of the IPL table with 14 points.
Michael Hussey was the star of the show, hitting a superb 95 off just 59 balls as Chennai racked up an impressive 200 for three in their alloted 20 overs. If Chennai thought the total was enough, they were soon proved wrong. Manvinder Bisla came out with all guns blazing and hit a 61-ball 92, matching the speed of Hussey but an excellent final over by Chris Morris ensured a Chennai win.
