A Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H) candidate for two National Assembly seats was among 55 suspects taken into custody during raids on Friday.
A major operation was conducted in Rabiya City apartments in Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
According to Rangers officials, the operation was conducted in order to flush out political party activists who occupied a private clinic situated in the building.
Eleven suspects were arrested and arms were seized from them. MQM-H spokesperson Khalid Hameed claimed that Mushtaq Ali, who is contesting for NA-253 and NA-256, was also detained by the law enforcers.
