Ordinance passed: Governor bans wall chalking

KARACHI: Sindh governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has promulgated an ordinance on Friday to ban wall chalking.

After the ordinance, which will be implemented in Sindh, no person will disfigure any wall, building or property with an intention to attract public attention by painting and wall chalking.

After 15 days, the government will form an anti-property-defacement taskforce of representatives of different segments of the society to suggest how the combat this menace.

Those who are found violating this ban will be imprisoned for up to six months and will be charged a fine of Rs5,000.
