Facilitating education: Teachers in Kurram demand prompt provisions

Joint meeting held by associations of private, public schools.

PESHAWAR: All the teachers and principals of government and private schools in Parachinar, Kurram Agency have expressed concern over the lack of facilities in educational institutions and demanded the concerned quarters to ensure their provision on priority basis.

A joint meeting of all the teachers, principals of government and private schools management associations was held under the chairmanship of Teacher Union President Syed Zahid Hussain on Sunday.

The meeting was also attended by Government Principals Union President Syed Munir Hussain Piragee and Private School Management President Syed Shahban Ali.

Participants of the meeting expressed concern over lack of facilities in educational institutions and urged concerned quarters to ensure their availability. They also reviewed the matriculation board examinations and lauded the arrangements that had been made for holding the exams successfully.

Participants lauded the efforts of the examination controller for holding the matriculation examinations with full transparency. They said the promise made by the Kohat Board chairman would be fulfilled accordingly and in the due course of time. They also expressed hope that requirements of the Camp Office, Parachinar would be fulfilled in the near future.
