Election commission: Candidates still ignoring code of conduct

Violations include affixing posters, hoardings and banners of a size larger than allowed by the election commission.

District Returning Officer (DRO) Nazir Ahmed Ganjana on Wednesday directed the district coordination officer, Operations SPP and the Parks and Horticulture Authority director general to remove the violations of the election commission’s code of conduct by seven candidates from various political parties.


He gave these directions on the monitoring committee’s report against Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz candidates Saiful Malook, Sardar Adil Umar, Afzal Khokar, Abdur Rasheed and PTI candidate Chaudhry Mansha Sindhu, among others. The DRO directed the officials to submit a report in three days after removing the violations.
