The recent reshuffle in bureaucracy of the centre and Sindh is a gimmick, former Punjab minister and PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah said on Friday.
PPP’s handpicked officers were still serving in important government departments, including the PM’s Secretariat, he said.
“Elections cannot be fair unless the state media is made impartial,” he said in a statement.
Sanaullah said that people were right to raise eyebrows on the presence of officials loyal to PPP in the information ministry.
Sanaullah said the PPP’s government had employed many party affiliates in PTV, adding, “These recruits are still projecting their masters’ interests in the channel.” Similarly, he said, the DG of Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation is a close friend of President Zardari although he did not deserve even a producer’s job.
