Archaeological research: UoP, Malaysian university collaboration
Under the agreement, both the universities will conduct archaeological exploration and excavation in Gandhara region.

University of Peshawar (UoP) and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang have entered an agreement to carry out joint archaeological research in both countries.
A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed by UoP Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Rasul Jan and USM Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof Ahmad Shukri Mustapa Kamal in Malaysia, said a statement issued on Friday.
Under the agreement, UoP’s Institute of Archaeology and Social Anthropology and USM’s Centre for Global Archaeological Research will conduct archaeological exploration and excavation in Gandhara region of Pakistan and Bujang Valley in Malaysia.
