Rejection: LHC issues notices on six appeals

LAHORE:
A Lahore High Court election tribunal on Monday issued notices on appeals of six candidates challenging the rejection of their nomination papers.
However, an appeal against the approval of the nomination papers of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif from NA 119 and 120 was returned by the office of the registrar with the objection that the RO’s decision was not attached to the appeal.
Azhar Ali challenged rejection of his papers from NA-103, Lahore, and Safdar Iqbal from PP-109, Waheed Asghar and Imran Asghar from PP-224, Nasrullah from PP-107 and Mehr Ayub from PP-91.
