Rescue Operation: Baby dolphin released into River Indus

A female baby dolphin had slipped into Pat Feeder on Wednesday morning.

A female baby dolphin that slipped into Pat Feeder on Wednesday morning was rescued and released back into River Indus downstream Guddu Barrage after a four-hour operation.

According to reports, the area people spotted the blind dolphin in Pat Feeder and informed the wildlife department. A team rushed to the spot and started a rescue operation.


Ghulam Muhammad Gadani, the deputy director Sukkur wildlife department, said that the dolphin weighed approximately 25 kilogrammes and was three feet long.
