LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Wednesday took notice of two lawyers who had misbehaved with the sessions judges hearing their cases. The LHC complaint cell directed the judges to send the names of the lawyers and details of the incidents within three days. The LHC complaint cell had noticed two reports in newspapers of lawyers locking up the judges in their courtrooms. On April 2, Lahore Bar Association vice president Irfan Basra had appeared before Model Town Judicial Magistrate Amir Nawaz Awan for a bail plea. After Awan dismissed the plea, Basra locked him in his courtroom. The same day, in a separate incident, a group of lawyers in Rawalpindi locked Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Aslam Gondal in his courtroom for more than two hours.  Advocate Hasnain Chohan had tried to obtain a stay order in a civil case. Upon failing to do so, he first exchanged harsh words with the judge and then locked him in his courtroom.
