Hockey: FIH inclusion will help country, says Bajwa
Bajwa was named in FIH Competitions, while coach Tahir Zaman was selected for High Performance and Coaching panel.
KARACHI:
Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Secretary Asif Bajwa said that his inclusion in the International Hockey Federation’s (FIH) panel will help bring international teams to the country.
Bajwa was recently named in the FIH Competitions, while PHF coach Tahir Zaman was selected for the High Performance and Coaching panel. Bajwa hoped the PHF’s presence in the world body will benefit the sport in the country.
“It’s an honour for Pakistan to have a couple of seats in the FIH panels amidst a tight contest,” said Bajwa said at an event hosted by the Sports Journalists Association of Sindh. “We will try our best to convince international teams to visit by using the FIH roles.”
