An official said that locals from the Dadum village in North Waziristan told soldiers at the Admi Kot army post that the artillery rounds had landed in their village.
The troops at the post confirmed that they too had heard the munitions landing.
Tensions between the two neighbouring have simmered in the past week with an Afghan military delegation cancelling its maiden trip to Pakistan after what the Afghan claims were two dozen Pakistani artillery shells fired into the eastern province of the country on Monday and Tuesday.
Pakistan has denied the allegations, claiming that there was an incursion from the Afghan side.

@Asad Malik RAJ-USA said under Civilized Rule not Military dictatorship, whats wrong in it?Every educated Muslim will love to be that. Is it your Ideology that Military means civilization?
Gulam Rasool"Kuldeeps sharma" New Delhi
@Raj - USA: Ironic when you say the world wants muslims to be under civilized rule yet you left your 'civilized India' behind for greener pastures.
Glory to the Afghans, the motherland of Abdali, Ghori, Ghaznavi, Hotak, Yama, Kanishka, Rustam, Sohrab, Tahmina and last but not least Karzai. Tal di we Afghanistan. Zindabad Ariana millat e Arianezhad.
Typo in my earlier comment: "China will side with India and oppose handing over any of India’s Kashmir territory to China" Should actually read: "China will side with India and oppose handing over any of India’s Kashmir territory to Pakistan.
Pakistan has never got the basics correct. (1) India has only economic interests and a desire to have friendly relations with Afghanistan. It has no interest in creating a problem for Pakistan through Afghanistan. Same holds true for both Afghanistan and also China. However, India would never allow Pakistan to use Afghanistan or talibans as it used them during the hijacking of Indian Airlines plane to Kandahar to free Maulana Masood Azhar who later founded Jeish-e-Muhammed and Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, who orchestrated the killing of Daniel Pearl. (2) India will not give even an inch of its Kashmir region, come what may. No country in the world today will also allow ceding or creation of a country on the basis or religion and particularly if it is to fulfill the demands of muslims. World changed totally after 9/11 and any reference, justification or examples prior to that are totally invalid. Pakistan has to realize this. Also, over half a century has passed since 1962 and India's relationship with China are totally different now. Both may want to keep the other in control. But when it comes to making a final decision on Kashmir, China will side with India and oppose handing over any of India's Kashmir territory to China. China is wise to know that India giving in on the Kashmir issue will ultimately create more problems for it in its own muslim region. Rest of the world also think the same way. Like it or not, the whole world, including China is interested in bringing the muslims countries under more civilized rule. No one shall support any claim from muslims to control more land. (3) Afghan refugees now in Pakistan would eventually want to return to their country. However, Pakistan is creating problems for their return. Afghan refugees want to return to a peaceful Afghanistan, devoid of talibans and Pakistan wants the talibans to control Afghanistan. (4) Pakistan does not need the talibans to protect it from either India or Afghanistan as neither has any interest in taking over any territory of Pakistan. However, both shall create problem for Pakistan if they feel that Pakistan is threatening their interests. AND, China will be passive or supportive. If Pakistan really want to test the waters with China, they should try to get a public statement from China asking for India to go for a plebiscite. Again as, I have said earlier, post 9/11 is a different world and as 11's kept repeating in 7/11 and 26/11, world has changed even more. So, going back in the history prior 9/11 will only lead to wrong conclusions.
Afghanistan should first take back there immigrants living in Pakistan then dare dropping shells in Pakistan !
@Truth: Pakistan helped Afghans in their jihad against the soviets not bcoz of Muslims brotherhood but for American dollars and saving itself from the soviets. Who cares what the original intention was. The result was that Soviets were stopped from progressing towards Pakistan. We achieved our objectives and that's enough for us. What Afghans think doesn't matter. Now the focus should shift to Afghanistan becoming an increasing liability. A good starting point to end instability in Pakistan would be getting rid of Afghan refugees. Pakistan needs to make a top priority of deporting all Afghans living in Pakistan and start worrying about Pakistani citizens. This is Pakistan.. only Pakistani citizens matter here, Afghans and other foreigners are low priority
@ Nadeem s When Pakistan fired 50 rockets three days ago that was ok and now the afghans are giving the taste of your own medecine , you call this Bach stabbing. Pakistan helped Afghans in their jihad against the soviets not bcoz of Muslims brotherhood but for American dollars and saving itself from the soviets.
Could be done by "strategic assets".
For every shell fired from across, one thousand Afghan Refugees should be sent back.
I am sure India paid for the shells, millions of troublemaker Afghans should first get out of Pakistan if they have so much pride and stop stabbing Pakistan in the back, instead of thanking Pakistan, these Afghan traitors have done nothing but show hatred for the only nation that gave them refuge,
Look at Turkey, a few Syrian refugees created trouble and Turkey pushed them all back inside Syria.
Why can't Pakistan do the same? Why we dont show pride, is beyond me.
