Lollywood actress Meera
Stepping out of her comfort zone of glitz and glamour, Lollywood star Meera has decided to venture into politics.
Meera’s mother Shafqat Zarar Bokhari confirmed on Wednesday that her daughter will contest the May 11 general election for a provincial assembly seat. “I will file her nomination papers on Thursday (today),” she told The Express Tribune.
Meera will contest the elections from the platform of Justice Party, a little-known group recently formed by lawyers. “She will run for a Punjab Assembly seat, most probably from Lahore,” she said without naming the constituency. It is likely that Meera will hold a press conference soon where she will announce her plans. She is currently in India working on some projects. “She will definitely bring a change as a politician if she wins the elections. She will work for the betterment of the common people and women,” her mother added.

Way to go Meera, you should have done this in PPP era. You missed the past 5 years would have been good. You also missed the chance on being a foreign minister.

Why not .She is more honest than many ministers and Parliamentarians in the sub continent. she has fans in both the countries even to this day.

I wouldnt vote for her but I know people would when people can vote for leaders just because of some arbitary loyality to their ethinicity so why not Meera? Aff course you can contest meera. After all, our parliament is filled with diplomats and drama creators. You'd feel like you're in Lollywood.
Is Politics a gag? What will happen to The Pakistan if people like her will start to contest, Since she have thought of contesting then I am Candidly saying that other people from lollywood industry will contest as well.

In Shakespeare's Tempest Prospero says: "We are such stuff As dreams are made on;" He was referring to performing artists that people look up to, to dream of glamorous lives they lead. You are it. Go and now become MPA for only you can achieve what we all dream of.
