‘Honour’: 18-year-old shot dead
Police say the girl, a resident of Basti Jam Bahadur, had allegedly eloped with a man a week ago.

An eighteen-year-old girl was killed on Sunday for ‘honour’. Police said the girl, a resident of Basti Jam Bahadur, had allegedly eloped with a man a week ago. They said her family had brought her back four days ago and had married her to another man. They said on Sunday, the girl’s brother and cousin went to her house and shot her, killing her on the spot. They said her brother-in-law was also injured while trying to save her. The assailants fled.
