According to eye witnesses, two gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire on the house present on Zahoor Elahi road. Over a dozen bullets were fired in the attack.
The gunmen fled the area after continuous firing for a few minutes.
They were successful in escaping because Zahoor Elhai road (on which the houses were present) has many routes branching out from it.
The police reached the area and started investigating the attack. They could not determine the kinds of weapon used.
Spokesperson for the PML-Q chief Chaudhry Iqbal clarified that both the brothers had gone to Islamabad, hence, were not present when the incident took place.
He also said that an FIR would be filed right away.

A dozen bullets were fired in a few seconds by 1 gun man, most likely a sub-machine gun was used. With the shells of the bullets can't our police even now identify what kind of weapon was used? With this caliber of cops no wonder the country is in such a mess. They should not have even bothered to come and investigate.
Any doubts that this attack wasn't from zia-ul-haq leftovers?
Similar sort of incidence happened with Sheikh Rasheed when he was running for election. He passed the buck on PML-N but later investigations by federal agencies proved it as a consequence of his personal feud. These days there is interim set up in Punjab. These Musharraf left-overs have much in common!
Police should install cameras around houses of big political leaders and the cost should be borne by these leaders or their political parties. It will be money well spent
Its ominous
i hope this is not a build up bu N league to foul play on imran khan jalsa tomorrow
Democracy does not brook the language of bullets. We condemn violence. This appears to be meant at destroying the spirit of amicability among the political class.
