Ahad Town Owners: SHO directed to investigate case
According to the petitioner, owners of Ahad Tower deceived potential buyers.

An additional district and sessions judge has directed the Garden Town SHO to investigate claims that the owners of Ahad Tower deceived potential buyers and, if the claims are substantive, to register a case against them.
Petitioners Asif Masood, Ashraf Kalyar and Abdur Razzaq told the court that Abdul Ahad Malik, his wife Rifat Ahmed Malik and their son Yousaf Ahmed Malik had assured them that the highrise building had been approved by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and was built on land that they owned.
Masood had paid Rs1.65 million, Kalyar Rs1.368 million, and Razzaq had paid Rs875,000 for shops on various floors, to be handed over to them upon the completion of Ahad Tower in 2007, they said.
However, the Supreme Court later took notice of the illegal construction of highrise buildings in Lahore and the LDA director general told the court that Ahad Tower had not been approved.
The petitioners said that they had not been returned their money or given their shops.
