Football: Gilgit FC outplay Friends FC
The tournament is featuring 36 registered clubs of Islamabad.

Gilgit FC defeated Friends FC 4-1 at the Naveedul Haq Memorial Football Tournament, and Poona FC defeated Akbar FC 5-4 on penalty kicks at the G-9/2 Football Ground in Islamabad yesterday.
The tournament is featuring 36 registered clubs of Islamabad and the top eight teams will play the quarter-finals beginning next week. In the two matches played yesterday, Muhammad Murshid, Mohammad Sadiq, Azmat Khan and Shah Hussain scored one goal apiece for Gilgit FC, while David scored for Friends FC.
The semi-finals are expected to take place on April 4 while the date for the final match is yet to be finalised.
