The 11th Annual Athletics and Sports Gala held at the Government College University Faisalabad [GCUF] concluded here on Friday.
GCUF Vice Chancellor Zakir Hussain said the event provided students an opportunity to exhibit their skills in front of a large crowd.
He urged the participants to develop sportsman spirit and called for making efforts to foster cultural values.
Samiullah from the university community college bagged the first position in the men’s 400 metre race while Faisal from applied chemistry department secured the second place.
In the women’s hurdle race, Fehmeeda from physical education department clinched the first position while Fauzia Naseem from department of law stood second.
Mariam from physical education bagged the first position in the women’s 100-metre race and Saima also from the physical education department stood second.
Tehseen Farwa, Shumaila and Aini got first, second and third positions, respectively, in the Chati Race.
