Two of the wounded died at Jinnah Hospital, where many of the wounded are currently being treated.
The blast took place in the jurisdiction of the Quaidabad police station.
According to eyewitness reports, a suspicious bag was placed outside an electrical store.
The area has been cordoned off by security officials.
SSP Raja Umer Khatab warned the public to stay away from the area as there was still a threat of a second blast.
Police, Rangers and the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) have reached the site of the blast.
A suspicious bag was spotted under a truck at the site of the blast, but it was cleared by the BDS.

A cylinder blast in a bus left three people injured, Express News reported.

The blast seems like a retaliation by the terrorists to today's operations by our forces. My hat off to the honest and brave Police, Rangers, and Intelligence officials that put their lives at risk for us.
