Two more world records set at Punjab Youth Festival

Mohammad Rashid and participants from Sports Board Punjab set two more Guinness World Records on the final day.

New records are in pine boards broken and largest painting by numbers.

LAHORE: Two more records were created for the Guinness World Record (GWR) books on the final day of the Punjab Youth Festival, which came to an end on Thursday with a total of twenty three records established.

In Thursday's Guinness events, Mohammad Rashid of Karachi increased his number of records to four by breaking 34 pine boards with his head in 32 seconds. He broke Kevin Shelley’s (USA) record of 32 pine boards broken in 30 seconds which was set in Mexico City, Mexico, on 30 July 2008.

Participants from the Sports Board Punjab clinched the second GWR of largest painting by numbers, broken by a new mark of 3717 square metres. The previous record measured at 3,130.55 square metres and was unveiled by the Ecole de Dessin in Lagos State, Nigeria, on 17 November 2010.
