The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf I intra-party elections to elect Punjab office-bearers will be held at Aiwan-i-Iqbal on March 16 (tomorrow).
As many as 262 newly-elected office-bearers at district and regional chapters would cast their votes to elect members of the provincial council at one polling station in the city, says an official of the PTI election commission.
Two heavyweights, Ejaz Chaudhry and Ahsan Rasheed, are flexing muscle for Punjab presidency. Dr Yasmin Rashid and Muhammad Amin Zaki are eyeing general secretary’s office.
The newly-elected office-bearers in three regions have nominated Chaudhry and Dr Yasmin Rashid for Punjab president and general secretary, respectively.
The Unity Group, having a majority in the central region (Lahore), has nominated Ahsan Rasheed and Zaki.
