KARACHI: The Karachi Electric Supply Company has extended the due date of bill payments by one day in view of the current situation in the city. All bills that were supposed to be paid on March 4 will now be received till March 5 (today) without any late payment surcharge. All banks have been informed of the extension.

Teams from the organisation worked around the clock to restore power supply to Abbas Town and were finally able to do so by Monday morning. They also arranged for backup lighting to assist teams from security agencies. Two photomultiplier tubes installed near Iqra City Comlpex had been destroyed completely due to the blasts and considerable lengths of cable wires had also been damaged.
