Boys primary school blown up
The high-intensity bomb destroyed three rooms along with the school’s veranda, says police.
LAKKI MARWAT:
A government primary school for boys was destroyed when a bomb planted by unidentified militants exploded in Abakhel area on Friday.
According to the school’s watchman Khan Sardar, a loud explosion occurred at around 3:20am, said Ghazni Khel police official Muhammad Salim. Sardar told the police people came out of their homes following the incident to see what had happened.
Salim said the high-intensity bomb destroyed three rooms along with the school’s veranda. “The watchman has filed a case against the perpetrators,” he said, adding that the guard would also be interrogated because he was asleep at home when the device went off.
On October 23, 2012, a resident of Kotka Zafran, Munir Khan was severely injured while trying to save another school from a bomb planted in Serai Naurang area.
