Honour killing: Jirga settles tribal dispute

The groups had been fighting over an incident of honour killing.

SHIKARPUR:
A dispute between two groups of Buriro community, Imamuddin Buriro and Yaseen Buriro, was settled in a jirga headed by Meer Ahmed Khan Buriro in Abdullah Buriro village, near Mian Sahib, on Saturday. The groups had been fighting over an incident of honour killing. The jirga’s verdict, which was accepted by both parties, stated that the accused party, Imamuddin Buriro, will have to pay Rs270,000 to Yaseen Buriro, as fine.
