A meeting on recovery of government revenues was held at the DCO’s office under the chairmanship of Additional Collector Chaudhry Ishtiaq Ahmad Javed on Saturday.
The meeting was told that Rs470 million had been recovered in the district in six months. Rs96 million were recovered as stamp duty, Rs34 million as registration fee, Rs28 million as Capital Value Tax, Rs167 as land transfer fee, Rs51 million as Abyana and Rs21 million as Agricultural Income Tax.
The meeting was told that this represented 79 per cent of the target set by Revenue Department for stamp duty, 70 per cent for registration fee, 78 per cent for Capital Value Tax, 79 per cent for transfer fee and 48 per cent of water rate.
Assistant Commissioner (City) Captain Khalid Mehmood and Assistant Commissioner (Ahmadpur East) Waseem Anwar Khan also attended the meeting.
