Disaster averted: BDS defuses two bombs
As a precautionary measure, the road was blocked and nearby houses were evacuated during the BDS operation.

Two bombs were defused in Akora Khattak, Nowshera, after a tip-off from locals on Tuesday. Akora police was informed by residents about a suspicious bag under a bridge in Aligarh on GT Road. The bag caused panic in the area. An Akora police official said they rushed to the site and called the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS). As a precautionary measure, the road was blocked and nearby houses were evacuated during the BDS operation. Official said two bombs each weighing three kilogrammes were defused after which the area was declared safe.
