Members of the Bozdar clan gathered outside Mirupur Mathelo SSP’s office on Monday to protest against the death of Muneer Ahmed Bozdar, who, they claimed, was tortured to death by the police.
Police had arrested Bozdar on Friday after two members of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional, Muhammad Essa and Khalil Ahmed, submitted an FIR charging him for tearing up the portrait of a political party. Mushtaq Bozdar, brother of the deceased, claimed that Munir passed away two hours after he was released. The protesters blocked and road dispersed after Ghotki SSP Irfan Baloch assured them that a case will be registered against the police after investigation.
