Education: Blind student gains MPhil entry

The top 10 students who passed the written test and interview have been given admission against a total of 15 seats.

LAHORE: A blind student named Sarfraz Ahmad Khan secured a position among the top 10 in the written test for admission to Punjab University’s Master of Philosophy (MPhil) programme for the Special Education Department. The top 10 students who passed the written test and interview have been given admission against a total of 15 seats. Sarfraz who turned blind at the age of 12  said that he was happy because the Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran had offered free education to all handicapped students including free hostel accommodation and transport facility besides scholarships for the needy.
