Shahzeb Khan case: Court sends Shahrukh Jatoi to borstal

Police also recove­r murder weapon from a car parked in Defenc­e area.

KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court in Karachi sent Shahrukh Jatoi - prime suspect in Shahzeb Khan's murder case - to a borstal, Express News reported on Saturday.

The decision was taken after police submitted Shahrukh's medical report to the court. According to the report, Shahrukh is a minor.

Other suspects, Nawab Siraj Talpur, his younger brother Nawab Sajjad Talpur and their servant Ghulam Murtaza Lashari were sent to the central jail in the city.

The officers investigating the case also recovered the murder weapon from a place indicated by Shahrukh. The special public prosecutor Abdul Maroof said that the car used by Shahrukh in the incident has also been recovered.

According to initial details, the weapon was hidden in a car parked in Defence Housing Authority’s Badar Commercial area, Karachi.

Shahzeb, the young son of a police officer, was shot dead in Defence on December 25 over a petty dispute.

Shahrukh, Siraj, 22, Sajjad, 21, and Lashari, 23, have been accused of murdering the 20-year-old.

The police also filed a written progress report of their investigations in the case.

The court gave the police till January 30 to file a challan.

@Umair Waheed, IBA, Khayban e Hafiz: You supportor of culprit.What police guard you are talking, Rubbish ,when the DSP (Shahzeb father doesnot) have the guard then from where the guard came for Shahzeb.

To all the people who think hes been sentenced..well hes not a lower court has just sent him on remand untill the next supreme court hearing which is on the 30th i believe..so stop making speculations as the whole progress will be judged by the cj on the next hearing..lets keep hope and stay away from making vague speculations..
