Medical report declares Shahrukh a minor

Report to be presented before ATC tomorrow.

KARACHI: A medical report of prime suspect in Shahzeb Khan’s murder, Shahrukh Jotoi, obtained by Express News states that the suspect is aged between 17-18 years. The report will be presented before an anti-terrorism court tomorrow, Express News reported Tuesday.

Since, Jatoi has been proven a minor, his case will be referred to a juvenile court or a sessions court.

The report, compiled by police surgeon Dr Jamil Qazi, was handed over to the investigative team probing into the murder case, today.

According to the report, Jatoi weighs 70kg while his height is five feet and nine inches. Jatoi’s date of birth mentioned on the age certificate is November 29, 1995.

Shahzeb, the young son of a police officer, was shot dead in the upscale Defence neighbourhood of Karachi on December 25 over a petty dispute.

Prime suspect Shahrukh, who had slipped away from the country to evade arrest after the murder, was brought back by the police after he was deported from Dubai. He was identified as the alleged killer by the witnesses during an identification parade.

Shahrukh will also be taken to hospital today for his age verification.
