ABBOTABAD: Two students were killed and five others injured in a clash between two groups, the Abbottabad police said on Tuesday. The police said the students fought at a tuition centre on Monday after which a jirga was called by their seniors in order to reconcile the two parties. Things got out of control at the jirga, being convened at Rehman Plaza on Tuesday, leading to gunshots. The deceased — who died on the spot — and injured were taken to the Benazir Shaheed Hospital, where again the two groups exchanged fire. Both groups ran away when the police arrived. The dead have been identified as Ehtashamullah, son of Abdul Wahid, and Ahmed Jan, son of Ghulam Ahmed. Doctors described the condition of all five injured students to be stable.
