Everyday problems: Youth urged to adopt scientific approach

Speakers says that data analysis is a powerful tool in making correct and accurate decisions.

FAISALABAD: Urging a scientific approach to the resolution of problems, speakers at a training workshop here urged the youth to undertake statistical analysis of various issues and keep an analytical eye on surroundings. They said that the approach would help execute correct decisions on the basis of meaningful information supported by empirical evidence. Speakers said that data analysis is a powerful tool in making correct and accurate decisions. It uses results obtained after correlating and cross-tabling different variables that help researchers see issues with a different perspective. They were addressing participants of a workshop on ‘Introduction to statistical software’ here at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF). On the occasion, UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said the university takes pride in hosting events that train students beyond the classroom. our correspondent
