KARACHI: Two men from Dour taluka, Ghulam Rasul Brohi and Ghulam Haider, died after being bitten by dogs. Additionally, nine other cases of dog bites have been reported in the past few days.

Brohi, who was 40 years old and resided in Sath Mail village, was attacked by a stray dog. He died on Saturday after not being provided proper treatment. According to the residents of the taluka, the same dog attacked nine other people and a buffalo.

The municipal administration was not taking measures to address these problems and they had to find and kill the dog themselves, they added.

The villagers complained that the Basic Health Unit in the area did not provide anti-rabies vaccine.

“We have to go to Nawabshah for vaccination,” said a victim, who is under treatment.

The doctors from the health unit were not available for comments.
