KARACHI: Growing lawlessness in the country and weak enforcements  by police and security officials have resulted in increased cases of violence against children in Pakistan.

1,113 children were murdered and 1,374 injured in the year 2012, said human rights attorney Zia Ahmed Awan.

The government agencies have failed to provide security to people and the lack of the rule of law has further aggravated the human rights situation in the country, he said adding children being the most vulnerable section of society are paying a high price, as all types of crimes and violence against them are on sharp rise.

You read about murders, you feel sorry for them and move on. I, too was like that, until recently when my friend, brother like, who just turned 18 was murdered. It's been months and I'm not over the fact of what must have gone through his mind in those moments. And like before and after this incident, I haven't lost faith in my religion and the people of my country. ONE DAY JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED TO EVERY HUMAN BEING IN PAKISTAN, regardless of color, religion and status. INSHALLAH.
