Empowerment: ‘Women must get modern education’

Dr Nighat Bhatti says good mothers will guarantee a better future for the country.

The role of women in the economic and social areas must be increased by equipping them with modern education speakers at a forum here said on Friday.


An event titled Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Forum: A Better Planet was arranged by Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) here on Friday. This was held in collaboration with Women in Engineering (WIE) Lahore Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE).

The event was addressed by GCUF Faculty of Sciences and Technology Dean Dr Naureen Aziz Qureshi, Home Economics Chairperson Dr Nighat Bhatti, Assistant Professor Dr Adeela Shaukat, DPS Headmistress Shehla Anbreen and lecturers Atifa and Saima Parveen.

Dr Qureshi said women need to change and participate in the affairs of the country. Dr Nighat Bhatti said good mothers would guarantee a better future for the country. Shehla Anbreen said schools were the base for the every child’s future. Dr Shaukat urged women to be confident and work hard to help the country develop.
