Stalled economy: ‘Gas crisis eating away Pakistan’s industry’
Natural gas provided by the SSGC is the major source of energy for industries, says Jan Mohammed.
KARACHI:
Gas crisis was eating away the productivity of Pakistan industry but the government was not paying attention to this critical issue, said Abdul Janmohammed, acting president of the Bin Qasim Association of Trade and Industry while addressing the extraordinary general meeting of the association.
He said the natural gas provided by the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) was the major source of energy for industries. In the past, we have done our best to respond positively and responsibly to the SSGC’s requests of cut down consumption in view of the larger interest of the country.
