A 19-year old woman was beaten to death by three persons on Monday at a house in Mera Jaffer in the Golra area, a police source said.


Asif Ali lodged a report at Golra Police Station stating he lived with his family in Mira Jaffer along with tenants M Riaz and Irum Bibi.

He said that he had a monetary dispute with Aamir, Atif and Zafar, who came to his house and demanded money. Due to the ensuing argument, Irum Bibi came outside and asked what the commotion was about. The three men proceeded to beat her with hammers, leading to her death.

The source said that a case has been registered against the accused persons and efforts are underway to track them down.

Separately, a  man was run over by a truck near Pirwadhai on Monday, Rescue1122 officials said. Ghulam Asghar, 50, a labourer, was crossing the road when a speeding truck driven by unknown driver hit and killed him, Rescue1122 sources added.

Sorry, I meant to say: so poor people CANT get into Islamabad. We need Islamabad&Rawalpindi to be completly safe and out of range for poor people. This is unfortunatly the only good short term solution.
