Three men shoot doctor over a land dispute

HYDERABAD: Three men on a motorbike shot and injured a doctor, Asim Niaz Channa, in Qasimabad on Sunday.

The assailants, two of whom were identified as Agha Tahir and Agha Faisal, attacked the doctor when he was returning from his clinic in his car.

The Qasimabad police station SHO, Asadullah Parehar, said that a shotgun had been used in the attack.

The brother of the doctor, Ahsan Niaz Channa, registered an FIR against three men.

According to the SHO, the incident occurred due to a land dispute. No one has been arrested so far. Dr Channa’s clinic is one of the oldest in Qasimabad and is located near the Shahrah-e-Qasimabad road.
