Stale fish: Restaurant sued for Rs500,000

The court issued notice for February 8.

LAHORE: A consumer court has issued notice to the proprietor of Siddique Machli Frosh for February 8 in a suit seeking damages of Rs523,200. Petitioner Omer Hayat Bhatti submitted that he had visited the restaurant on November 28 with some friends and been served stale fish. He complained to the owner, but was not accommodated. He asked the court to direct the eatery to reimburse him for the bill (Rs3,200) and also pay his lawyer’s fee (Rs20,000) and Rs500,000 in damages. The court issued notice for February 8.
