Man killed over Rs2,000 dispute

DIJKOT:

Four men attacked a man over a dispute involving Rs2,000, resulting in his death, while a woman was injured.

According to a complaint filed with the police by Zafar Iqbal, a resident of Mureedwala, the Bashir Ahmed, Waqas alias Kashi, Abdul Qayyum and Sajid of Okara had an altercation over a Rs 2,000 transaction.

During the argument, they attacked the complainant's 55-year-old father, Muhammad Iqbal, and 24-year-old sister-in-law Bilqees Bibi with sticks, punches and kicks.

His father fell to the ground during the assault, but the assailants continued to beat him severely. Both the victims were taken to Samundri Hospital in critical condition. Despite medical intervention, Iqbal succumbed to his injuries.
