PERA official held for drug peddling

A member of the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) Force constituted to assist in anti-encroachment operations has been arrested for allegedly selling narcotics.
The suspect, Mujtaba Haider, was arrested by Shahdara Town police from Kala Khatai Road.
According to officials, 140 grammes of crystal meth and 40 grammes of opium were seized from his possession.
A case was registered at Shahdara Town police station on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Muhammad Imran. Police said the suspect was a resident of Usman Park.
He was handed over to the investigation wing for interrogation and legal proceedings.
