Delay attributed to the absence of additional power supply for the new labs.
A project that was supposed to provide MRI and CT Scan equipment to four teaching hospitals in Sindh, including the Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) Larkana, has yet to be completed, even though it was approved six years ago.
While the project has been completed in Civil Hospital Karachi and the Liaquat University Hospital in Hyderabad, CMCH and the Peoples Medical College Hospital, Nawabshah still await the necessary equipment. The total cost of the project was around Rs564 million, which was supposed to be split evenly between the federal and the provincial governments. It was supposed to be completed by 2008. The radiological equipment will help doctors at the hospitals to diagnose complications.
The delay has been attributed to the absence of additional power supply for the new labs. A contractor installed a 400 kilovolt pole mounted transformer two months ago, but it has yet to put in place the electricity connections.

Like Sindh University's VC, the incumbent VC of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto medical university is a big disappointment, Govt MUST take action against him due to his incompetence, and poor performance. Instead of making this university which is on BB Shaheed's name to shine due to its educational success, current VC is a big failure. Making institution is not enough, they also need competent management too.
