Border management: Khokrapar linked with Nadra system

The system is operational for management of travellers from all entry and exit points.

ISLAMABAD:
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has successfully implemented an Integrated Border Management System (IBMS) at Khokrapar Border.

The system is operational for management of travellers from all entry and exit points and has been tailored as per immigration laws of Pakistan which helps prevent illegal entry, use of counterfeit documents, human smuggling, and other travelling frauds.


NADRA spokesperson Naz Shoebin, in a statement on Tuesday, said that the authority is in partnership with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for implementing the IBMS at all entry and exit points of the country, including airports, railway stations and land routes. The system is already operational at all major international airports, including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta and at the Torkham border.
