Shootout: Suspected robber killed, 3 cops injured

ROJHAN: A robbery suspect was shot dead on Tuesday. Three police officials, including the station house officer, were injured in the shootout. The shootout occurred near Shahwali police station, when a car was stopped by patrolling officers after they found it suspicious. Instead, the man in the car shot at the police van carrying Station House Officer Imtiaz Chandwani, Constable muhammad Rafiq and their driver Muhammad Boota. The police shot back, killing the man in the car on the spot. The policemen and their injured driver were taken to Jamalwali Health Centre near Bangla Achaboat Bridge, from where they were later shifted to Shaikh Zayed Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan.
