Corruption: Education director suspended over illegal appointments

HYDERABAD: Sindh Senior Minister for Education and Literacy Pir Mazharul Haq has said that an inquiry is being conducted by the education and anti-corruption departments into allegations of illegal appointments of teachers and staff in Hyderabad’s schools.

The education minister said on Monday that the director of education, Shamsuddin Dal, made illegal appointments.

Some appointments have been challenged in the Sindh High Court.

Dal has been suspended and Haq has asked the secretary of education to issue a notification for replacing him.
