Alleged kidnapping : MUET’s assistant professor goes missing

A 46-year-old assistant professor, Azizullah Jamali, who taught at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, was allegedly kidnapped on Saturday. He taught at the university’s civil engineering department. Jamali, who is a resident of Bukhar Jamali village in Larkana, was on his way home from Hyderabad when his car was found abandoned near Matiari district. The Mehran University Teachers Association, the Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association and teachers’ unions from various universities have condemned the kidnapping and have asked the government to help trace him. Jamali’s father has registered a case at the Matiari police station.
