KARACHI: The police have devised a security plan to maintain peace on January 2, the eve of the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). The city has been divided into various security zones headed by SPs and SDPOs. The police officials will have to make sure that their men deployed along the main routes of the processions perform their duties. Personnel in plain clothes will also be deployed along the routes to inform police stations about potential security breaches. Officers have been asked to ensure that processions do not break traffic rules.
