On a tipoff on their whereabouts, a police team from Karachi raided a house in Dadu but the suspects managed to flee despite being surrounded.

DSP Aurangzeb Khan, the deceased’s father, alleged that influential people were asserting pressure for stopping their arrest, while the police was working for their arrest with responsibility.
20-year-old Shahzeb was killed over a small argument earlier. The prime suspects in the case, Nawab Siraj Talpur and Shahrukh Jatoi, have been on the run ever since.

@Sumaiya: Yes, there is a demand of change, but not by picking a wrong case. This is a clear case of corrupt versus more corrupt. Lets not get emotional on this, If we are willing to change the system then lets not talk of one case, lets talk about all the cases, develop a process and then push our government to adopt that process. Our courts take notice of 10 cases every day... is there a single example where justice is served? Where courts take brave decisions or the support departments provide courts evidences on which they can take decisions? Is transparent system dear sister that we are missing.
You have to understand that we as nation are super talented people, brilliant in things we do, Why can't we make our governments to walk straight? We can. Lets FOCUS on collective, straight forward actions, not get confused with this witch hunt we have wasted 65 years in.

A DSP’s kid residing in an affluent neighborhood, studying in a elite private university, getting Suzuki swift as a birthday gift is a rich kid by all standards. (One wonders how a DSP is able to afford this all on this salary). You really need to understand the demographics of Pakistan. Mega Billionaires? May be… but their strength lies in the weakness of system which lets every one roam around freely, unchecked. Mega Billionaires can be law-abiding citizens as well .. if there is a system. The media even jumps into manholes if they are able to find a sizzling story. The two brothers from Sialkot were from lower class, but their story was pushed everywhere because it attracted viewership. This is how media works globally. You don’t look for moral values at such places. If this gets sizzling hot .. they will unearth it and cover it. Social pages are the way forward to raise voice. But understand the number of people accessing them in Pakistan (17%) and understand the mental level of people accessing internet. One pound fish song singers are also picked by media as they become hot commodity over social pages… That doesn’t bring any change. Political parties are part of problem, not solution. They are joy riding the issue for their benefits, had they been really serious they would have done something about their own people slaughtered. Don’t expect them to be your savior. As far as i know one of the killers is a Talpur whereas other one is a Jatoi. Common, they are the owners, they can kill anyone, who are we pathetic insects anyhow.

What Bilawal and Zardari is doing for the arrest of the criminals and murderers as this is their own backyard. The culprits must be brought to justice. Any persons protecting the criminals should also be arreted and punished. Law must be enforced for influencials persons. You reap what you sow! It is tragic that ones life has been taken, and the loss sufferred by the family. Aside from this, we have a culture of bullies…might is right… And both the feudals and civil functionaries are into it. Yes son’s of waderas we have a stero typical image, and is already seen how they roam the streets with armed guards, and all. But Senior Police wallas sons are the same. They even have more powers then their dad. So in this case, a feud gone wrong.

@Asif Siddiqui...this is ridiculous. Let me give you some factoids: 1. Shahzeb is not some rich, famous kid...he is from the middle class 2. His killers are mega-billionaires and have the protection of the highest order from Zardari. They clearly thought Shahzeb a common fly who deserved death for "badteemzi" with them. 3. The media refused to cover this and till now has barely covered it. 4. The only reason this poor kid has any chance of justice is because his sister made a facebook page and the word spread. 5. WIth the facebook page growing at alarming speed and incredible middle class support for Shahzeb, MQM and PTI (only two non-feudal but powerful parties) made statements against killers 6. Suddenly the Media was forced to pay attention. 7. Shahzeb's killers and their supporters should realize that this is not the old Pakistan anymore and there are movements and public forums that can challenge their murderous rampage.
People support Shahzeb not because he was a rich kid (he was not, just the son of a DSP), they support Shahzeb and justice for him because they identify with him. I support justice for Shahzeb because my brother was beaten up by feudals in Pajeros on Shahra-e-Faisal and he was completely innocent..he recovered in 3 weeks but thank goodness those gun-totting power-mongers did not shoot him. But Shahzeb could have been my brother and that's why I and countless others support the movement for Justice for Shahzeb.

Feudal and their likes have destroyed this Country. Unless and until average Pakistanis do not break-in their houses and eliminate these corrupt and characterless people along with their complete families, the fate of this Country is unlikely to change in a true manner. It is strange to think I once believed that our fate could change in an evolutionary and bloodless way. We will have to pay the price for the future of Pakistan in blood! The big question remains, are we ready for this? This is not a hate speech but a food for thought only!
Only reason for this case to be highlighted: (1) The deceased is the son of a non-Sindhi POLICEMAN; (2) The killer happens to be a Sindhi. And it is very easy to make up a story pinning the altercation between two parties, as a Sindhi versus non-Sindhi animosity (The title of the story was: "Murdered in cold blood: For Sindh's feudals, Karachi lives come cheap"). The same attitude was prevalent before 1971. But at that time Bengalis were at the receiving end.
Innocent life is lost. But I doubt the argument between the two parties was a minor one. It takes two to make a fight, and given the arrogance of the children of the army and police officials, during the argument it is unlikely Shahzeb had acted like a sheep.
The feudal terror is inescapable but the feudal elements can easily escape justice.
