A large number of Karachiites on Saturday participated in 15 protest demonstrations held at major spots in Karachi against the on-going water crisis.
The participants, carrying placards and banners, chanted slogans against the water tanker mafia, their facilitators and the government. They demanded resignation from Mayor Murtaza Wahab, who also happened to be the chairman of the water corporation, describing him as a total failure. Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Monem Zafar addressed the central protest at Burns Road.
